Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) for a full-time role with school districts in the Birmingham, AL area. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about supporting students and enhancing their educational experience.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid COTA certification.
- Must meet all local and state requirements for working as a COTA in Alabama.
- Must be able to provide professional references from previous employers.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students in developing daily living skills, fine motor skills, and other areas of developmental need.
- Collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists (OT) to implement treatment plans and modify strategies.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Provide support to students in classrooms and other school environments.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized plans for students with specific needs.
